Warien Rose Academy is the vision of Prof Doc Efe Anaughe

About the founder:

I am a humanitarian, lawyer, and human rights advocate with over 30 years of experience championing the rights of women and marginalized communities. As the founder and CEO of the Warien Rose Foundation—a non-profit organization established in 1988/89—I have led initiatives that provide advocacy, social development, empowerment programs, emotional support groups, and human rights services.

Recognized as an expert in anti-money laundering (AML), counter-financing of terrorism (CFT), and anti-corruption compliance, I hold certification as an AML/CFT and Anticorruption Compliance Manager. I successfully completed the International Anti-Corruption Academy’s course on “AML/CFT and Anticorruption Compliance: Comparative Aspects and Practical Implementation.”

A specialist in gender-based violence and a committed advocate for gender equity, I have dedicated my career to advancing the rights and well-being of women and girls. I am the convener and founding coordinator of NGOs CSOs Consortium International, a global initiative with multiple country chapters and over 3,000 member organizations in Nigeria alone.

My humanitarian contributions have been widely recognized, earning me numerous awards and the distinction of being a triple gold medalist with an MBA, DBA, and Academy designation from the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship. I have written extensively, contributing to several publications, including 40 Pearls of Wisdom, where I authored the chapter “Tenacity.”

For the past two decades, I have hosted Love Bug, a popular relationship program on UNILAG 103.1 FM in Lagos, Nigeria. I am also the author of The Bachelorette Column in The Sun Newspaper Nigeria.

In addition to my advocacy and media work, I serve on the boards of several organizations, including Zuritech Limited, Zuriel Earthworks Limited, and Warien Rose International. I also serve as the Acting Regional Chair and Regional Manager of the AML/CFT CSO Forum for West Africa, as well as Chair of the Nigeria chapter.

In 2024, I founded the Warien Rose Academy, an institution committed to providing specialized training and education for all genders, with a focus on equal opportunity and representation. I earned my Doctorate in Business Administration from the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE), Switzerland, in February 2024, and was named a Roxbourg Fellow.

My life’s work is driven by a deep passion for humanity, especially issues affecting women and girls. In recognition of my dedication, I was appointed the G100 Nigeria Country Chair on Domestic Abuse, part of a prestigious global collective of distinguished leaders.

Joy Onyebuchi Nweke

Words from WRA Faculty: Joy Onyebuchi Nweke

“Hellooooo! I’m Joy Onyebuchi Nweke, a Humanitarian Advocate, Administrator, Mentor, and Entrepreneurship Specialist with over a decade of experience. My journey with the Warien Rose Academy has been truly transformative. Though I’ve worked in vocational spaces, providing opportunities for the underserved, I realized that my approach was somewhat shallow. The Academy opened my eyes to the understanding of real impact, deep thinking, clarity of purpose, and most importantly, leadership qualities that began a deep personal transformation.

I’m incredibly grateful to the Academy’s learning. I received guidance and mentorship that has helped me navigate challenges and unlock new insights in running my organization seamlessly. In my view, professional learning is the wealth of the world. It unlocks potential, fosters innovation, and drives meaningful impact. Through continuous learning and mentorship, I’ve gained the tools to create lasting change in my community. I’m grateful for the Academy’s investment in my growth and look forward to paying it forward by empowering others.”

Words from WRA Faculty: Morenike Taire

Innovative. Resilient. Global. These and many other terms are those that come to mind when talking of Warien Rose Academy.
As a fully global, fully domestically equipped institution, Warien Rose Academy, fondly referred to by us as WRA, defines for me what quality learning of the future looks like.
Despite engaging in various short term trainings over my professional life, I negotiated any long term learning endeavours with much caution. “How would I sit down for hours under the tutelage of others?” I secretly asked myself.
Within weeks, the inspiring hunger for progress of those around me quickly sucked me in, transporting me into many worlds, some of which I didn’t even know existed.
WRA has challenged me, stretched me and often filled me with pride. Of course WRA is a triple gold academy: Leadership, Empthy and Cooperation are non negotiable.
Being here has strengthened my sense of purpose and opened up possibilities. I can’t wait to see where Warien Rose Academy is going.

The future is here- come and join us.

My Experience At WARIEN ROSE ACADEMY.

My journey with Warien Rose Academy has been nothing short of transformational.

The Academy goes far beyond theory — it offers practical, hands-on exposure to the real world of social enterprise and the power it holds to create lasting impact. Through this platform, I have connected with brilliant minds from across the globe, built meaningful networks, and enjoyed the rich camaraderie of like-minded change-makers.

What makes the Academy truly special is the atmosphere of support, collaboration, and inspiration it fosters. The opportunities that have unfolded for me — from new partnerships to fresh insights — are priceless and will continue to shape both my vision and my work.

Under the remarkable leadership of Dr. Efe Anaughe whose wealth of experience and passion for impact shine through in everything she does, Warien Rose Academy stands as a beacon for those who want to use enterprise as a tool for positive change.

For me, being part of this community has been a life-changing journey, one that I will always treasure.
